DEA operation seizes 4,000 pounds of synthetic drugs

PHOENIX (KGUN9-TV) - Drugs like bath salts, Spice, incense and plant food were all seized Wednesday in the first-ever law enforcement action against the synthetic drugs, according to Ramona Sanchez, a spokeswoman with the Phoenix office of the Drug Enforcement Administration.
Sanchez tells KGUN9 that DEA agents executed 17 search warrants in the Phoenix area, seizing more than 4,000 pounds of the synthetic drugs.
More than $3 million in assets was also seized during the raids.
Seven people were arrested as a result of the operation, named Log Jam, in addition to 13 firearms and 12 vehicles seized by agents.
