TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Emergency responders needed the Jaws of Life to save one woman from a car accident Wednesday night, according to Capt. Barrett Baker with the Tucson Fire Department.
Baker tells KGUN9 that a vehicle traveling eastbound under I-10 at 22nd Street collided with another vehicle sending the first vehicle into a concrete barrier.
The passenger of that vehicle was taken out by crews on the scene and taken to a nearby hospital.
The driver was pinned underneath the dash area and crews had to use the Jaws of Life to get her out.
She was also taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.
The other vehicle involved had two people inside, and they both did not want to be taken to a hospital and were assessed on scene.
