TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Scattered showers and storms continue to develop Friday in southern Arizona and could bring heavy rainfall and flash flooding, says 9 On Your Side Chief Meteorologist Erin Christiansen.
A flood advisory is posted for all of eastern Pima County, including Tucson, Oro Valley and Marana, until 7:00 p.m.
The heavy rain will bring on flooding of washes and streets.
The storms are moving from the northeast to the southwest and wind gusts could reach 50 mph.
The chance for thunderstorms goes up to 60 percent tonight and continues through Saturday morning.
Rain at the Tucson International Airport Friday has pushed the rainfall total to 4.19 inches.
Ken Drozd with the National Weather Service says this year's monsoon is on track with the second wettest monsoon, and the third wettest summer to date.
