TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - The Tucson Unified School District Governing Board approved and adopted its budget for fiscal year 2013, which includes a strengthened fine arts program and a program for employees post retirement, according to Cara Rene, Director of Communications for TUSD.
The board voted 4-1 in favor of the budget in a special meeting held Saturday.
The meeting included a public hearing. Board member Mark Stegeman voted against the approval.
The $325 million budget has a Post Retirement Employment Option program, a technology infrastructure project and improvements to fine arts programs across the district.
