TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - A 26-year-old man was arrested Thursday in the murder of Genna Ayup, according to Sgt. Chris Widmer with Tucson Police.
Ronald James Corbin Jr. was booked into the Pima County Adult Detention Center on one count of Manslaughter.
On June 26, Tucson Police officers responded to the 8500 block of E. 18th St. to reports of gun shots being heard.
When they arrived, officers found Ayup suffering from obvious signs of trauma.
She was taken to a nearby hospital where she later died.
Widmer tells KGUN9 that homicide detectives worked "diligently to investigate the circumstances" in this death.
