PETA offers reward in Arizona kitten cruelty case

COLORADO CITY, Ariz. (AP) - An animal rights group is offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction in an Arizona animal cruelty case.
A man building a horse shelter in Colorado City discovered a kitten buried up to its neck in concrete in late May. Andrew Chatwin freed the kitten from inside a metal pipe, but it died days later at a Utah animal shelter.
PETA announced Thursday that it is soliciting tips in the case and is offering a reward. Spokeswoman Kristin Simon says those tips will be forwarded to marshals in Colorado City, located in a remote area between the Grand Canyon and Utah.
The marshal's office has tabled the case, citing a lack of leads.
