Mail carrier truck goes up in flames

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - A mail carrier truck went up in flames Tuesday morning.
Cpt. Grant Cesarek with Rural Metro tells KGUN9 that crews responded to the area of River Road and Swan Road after receiving a 9-1-1 call that a mail carrier truck was on fire.
The truck, along with all of the mail inside the truck is considered a total loss. The malfunction of the truck is still under investigation.
The driver of the mail truck did not sustain any injuries.
Rob Soler with the United States Postal Service tells KGUN9 about 386 customers are being affected by the fire and loss of contents.
All customers will receive a letter from USPS. There is no need to contact USPS, they will get in contact with you regarding the incident.
