Playground fire at Catalina Neighborhood Park ruled arson

CATALINA, Ariz. (KGUN9-TV) - Firefighters with Golder Ranch Fire responded to Catalina Neighborhood Park after reports that the playground equipment was on fire.
Cpt. Josh Hurguy tells KGUN9 that crews were dispatched at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, July 9.
This is the third time in four years that playground equipment has been burned at Catalina Neighborhood Park. The park also houses a community pool, ramada, and basketball court. No other structures at the park suffered any damage.
The damage to the playground equipment is estimated between $25,00 and $50,000.
No injuries were sustained in this incident.
The cause of the fire is being ruled arson.
