Growing brush fires prompt closures

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - DPS has closed southbound Interstate 17 at Mile Post 248 for a growing brush fire in that area. The road is closed at the rest area and no alternate route has been given.
DPS Officers have also closed SR 87 (Beeline Highway) between SR 188 and Bush Highway due to a growing brush fire. The public is advised to use US 60 or SR 188 to US 60 to avoid the affected area. SR 88 will soon be closed as well.
