Failed bank robbery suspect found hiding in AC duct

MARANA, Ariz. (KGUN9-TV) - Marana Police have apprehended a bank robbery suspect who was found hiding inside an air conditioning duct.
Sgt. Tim Brunenkant tells KGUN9 that officers were called to the Canyon Community Bank located 8631 North Silverbell Road regarding a business alarm.
When officers arrived they discovered the roof hatch to the bank had been tampered with. As they conducted a search of the roof, officers found 22-year-old Jesse Nolan Gatlin hiding inside the air conditioning duct.
Gatlin was taken into custody.
Officers discovered Gatlin was in possession of a handgun and a mask. He admitted entering through the roof and planned on robbing the bank once it opened in the morning.
Gatlin has been booked and charged with one count of attempted armed robbery and one count of 1st degree burglary, He is also being investigated for a similar incident at the same bank last year.
