Authorities search for missing hiker in mountains

APACHE JUNCTION, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities are searching for a man who has been reported missing while hiking in the Superstition Mountains.
Maricopa County Sheriff's spokesman Christopher Hegstrom says the hiker in his mid-50s was reported missing around 6:30 p.m. Sunday.
Crews searched throughout the night for the avid hiker.
The man is considered in good health and believed to have taken a water pack with him when he went on a hike earlier Sunday.
The hiker's car was found near First Water Trailhead.
