BENSON, Ariz. (AP) - A lightning-caused wildfire has charred about 100 acres in southern Arizona southwest of Benson.
Coronado National Forest officials say the Cottonwood Fire was reported Monday night in the Whetstone Mountains.
Officials say the fire is burning mainly grass and brush on a ridge top and no structures are threatened.
The Cochise County Sheriff's Office says crews from the Whetstone, Mescal and Willcox fire departments have water tenders at the scene.
Three engines, two single-engine tankers and one helicopter also are fighting the blaze.
