TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - A Mexican man was sentenced to 30 months of confinement after Border Patrol agents learned he had a prior conviction for possession with intent to distribute marijuana, according to officials with the U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
Adan Aguirre-Del Cid, 32, was previously convicted on felony charges for re-entering the U.S. illegally.
During processing in December, agents fingerprinted Aguirre-Del Cid and learned of his prior drug convictions.
After his incarceration, Aguirre-Del Cid will be formally removed from the U.S. and is now banned for life from becoming a legal citizen.
