PHOENIX (AP) - A woman accused of driving while her 5-week-old baby was in a car seat on the roof of her vehicle has been released from jail.
The Arizona Republic reports a Maricopa County Sheriff's Office spokesman says 19-year-old Catalina Clouser was freed Saturday but is under electronic monitoring.
Phoenix police arrested Clouser early Saturday morning on child abuse and aggravated DUI charges after witnesses found a child strapped in a safety seat in the middle of an intersection.
Arizona Child Protective Services says the child is in good condition.
Authorities say Clouser went to the home of friends and smoked marijuana for the second time in a few hours.
Clouser left the house around midnight, forgetting the baby was on top of her car.
