Former Congresswoman Giffords to visit Tucson

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords will make her first public appearance in Tucson since her January resignation.
She will join Ron Barber at a campaign event next weekend.
"I am excited to be on stage with Gabby to encourage Southern Arizonans to get to the polls and vote in this important election," Barber said, in a statement.
The "Get Out the Vote" concert is Saturday, June 9 from 5-8pm at the Rialto Theatre.
Admission to the event is free- but those who attend are asked to volunteer for Barber's campaign.
