Second heat related death in three days

PIMA COUNTY, Ariz. (KGUN9-TV) - The Pima County Sheriff has responded to the second heat related death in three days.
Lt. Dawn Barkman tells KGUN9 that at approximately 2:10 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the Hugh Norris Trail Head in the 3500 block of North Hohokam Road and North Kinney Road in response to a rescue.
According to the 9-1-1 call, two visitors from Germany were hiking the area when a 35-year-old woman collapsed from heat exhaustion/heat stroke.
She was pronounced deceased at the scene.
On May 19, deputies from the Search & Rescue Unit along with Northwest Fire Department personnel worked a rescue call in the trail system north of the Ritz Carlson Hotel in Marana.
Amalia Barber, 23, died after suffering from what is believed to be extreme heat exhaustion/heat stroke after going for a hike with friends.
