Report on Loughner's mental condition due May 24

PHOENIX (AP) - The psychologist treating the Tucson shooting rampage suspect faces a May 24 deadline to hand in her latest report on efforts to make the suspect psychologically fit to stand trial.
The deadline falls two weeks before suspect Jared Lee Loughner's stay at a Missouri prison facility is set to end on June 7.
Loughner has been forcibly medicated with psychotropic drugs for about nine months in a bid to try to make him mentally fit for trial.
U.S. District Judge Larry Burns had ruled previously that Loughner wasn't ready for trial, but believed he can eventually be made ready to be tried.
Loughner has pleaded not guilty to 49 charges stemming from the shooting.
The report by Loughner's psychologist isn't expected to be publicly released.
