Police: missing Tucson girl was abducted
Web Producer: Marissa Pasquet
TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Tucson Police Lt. Fabian Pacheco said Tuesday for the first time that the missing 6-year-old girl who disappeared from her house was abducted.
Investigators had been referring to Isabel Celis' case as a suspicious disappearance or possible abduction up until now. Authorities have not identified any suspects at this time.
Authorities say the father of the missing 6-year-old girl was alone with her at the time she disappeared. But police say that doesn't mean he's a suspect.
Authorities have been searching for 6-year-old Isabel Mercedes Celis since she was first reported missing the morning of Saturday April 21.
Anyone with information on Isabel is asked to call 88-CRIME, 911, or any mobile phone user can provide information anonymously via iPhone or Android Apps through TipSoft. People can send a text message to "CRIMES" (274637) beginning with the keyword "TucsonPD" from a mobile phone. For this specific investigation, police are using the specific full keyword "TUCSON PD 5265."
