TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - The Pima County Sheriffs Department is investigating a possible attempted child abduction on Tucson's Northeast side.
Renee Carlson with PCSD tells KGUN9 that around 7:30 a.m. deputies received a 9-1-1 call from a man who saw a van following a child riding a bicycle near Sabino Canyon and Snyder.
The child ditched the bicycle and hid in the bushes. The van following the child took off. The child who was riding the bicycle left the bicycle and fled from the scene, says Carlson.
Deputies are currently trying to locate the child.
Anyone with information is asked to call 9-1-1 or 88-CRIME.
KGUN9 has a crew at the scene and will have the latest information for you on KGUN9.com and KGUN9 On Your Side at 5:00 p.m.
