Woman dies in Superstition Mountains fall

APACHE JUNCTION, Ariz. (AP) - A woman hiking with her husband has died after falling off a mountain trail southeast of Phoenix.
Pinal County sheriff's spokesman Elias Johnson says the woman fell an estimated 50 feet from a trail near Lost Dutchman State Park in the Apache Junction area Wednesday morning.
Johnson tells the Arizona Republic (http://bit.ly/Jf7rJD ) the couple were on the Massacre Grounds Trail off Arizona 88 in the Superstition Mountains.
The husband called authorities for help.
