Wheelchair-bound man who died after struck by vehicle identified

PIMA COUNTY, Ariz. (KGUN9-TV) - William Kevin Hasson, 51, has died after being struck by a vehicle on Valencia Road between Cardinal Road and Camino de la Tierra, according to authorities.
Officials with the Pima County Sheriff's Department say, the crash happened just before 8 p.m. Thursday.
Deputies say they arrived to find Hasson lying in the road, and believe that the man was attempting to cross Valencia Road, from the north side to the south side of the roadway in a wheelchair when he was struck by an eastbound traveling passenger vehicle.
Authorities say, the motorist and others stopped to help Hasson.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the accident.
