Reporter: Marcelino Benito
TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Air Force Col. Martha McSally enterered the race for CD 8 with little to no name recognition. Sixty-eight days ago she announced her unlikely candidacy. Tuesday night, she finished in second place.
McSally called winner Jesse Kelly to concede shortly before speaking to her supporters. She vows to throw her support behind Kelly as he moves on to take on Democrat Ron Barber in the special general election in June. Yet, she also tells 9OYS this is not the end of the road for her. She plans to campaign for the newly drawn Congressional District 2 seat.
