BULLHEAD CITY, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities in northwestern Arizona have released the names of a man and woman found dead in a murder-suicide.
Bullhead City police said Tuesday that 63-year-old Michael Lloyd Brown and 65-year-old Patricia Lee Hays both had a single gunshot wound to the head.
They say a small-caliber handgun was found in Brown's hand and evidence at the scene suggests a physical altercation between Brown and his girlfriend before the shootings.
Police say Hays had a broken nose and bruising to her arms and face.
They say Brown called 911 about 9:30 p.m. Sunday and claimed he had just shot his girlfriend and was going to kill himself.
Officers arrived at the couple's residence in the Mirage RV Park and found the two bodies.
