GETTYSBURG, Pa. (AP/KGUN9-TV) - Rick Santorum has suspended his campaign for president saying the race 'is over for me,' making Mitt Romney the likely Republican nominee.
A Republican close to the campaign says the former Pennsylvania senator was to make the announcement Tuesday in his home state of Pennsylvania, two weeks before the GOP presidential primary there. Santorum faced a tough fight in his home state against Romney.
Presidential hopeful, Newt Gingrich pledges to stay in the race until the convention to give conservatives 'a real choice.'
