TODAY: Patterson to respond to ethics complaint
Web Producer: Sara Wright
TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Tucson Representative Daniel Patterson has until 9:30am to file a response to the ethics complaint filed against him.
House Ethics Committee will then meet to further consider the complaint. Ethics investigators working for the state House have recommended Patterson be expelled from the legislature.
The original complaint against him involved domestic violence allegations made by his ex-girlfriend. Investigators say Patterson has exhibited threatening, offensive and abusive behavior to lawmakers, staff and lobbyists.
They also claim he may have violated court orders, offered to trade votes for sex, and that he told staff members he uses marijuana.
Patterson denies wrongdoing.
