Pick-up destroyed by fire

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Northwest firefighters were called to the scene of a truck fire Friday afternoon in the vicinity of Ina and Silverbell Roads.
Northwest Fire's Capt. Adam Goldberg reports an 18-year-old man has been air-lifted to a Maricopa County area hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Capt. Goldberg states the vehicle was not involved in a collision. There was a small brush fire associated with the truck fire that was extinguished immediately.
The 18-year-old man is suffering from 2nd and 3rd degree burns to most of his body, according to authorities.
Authorities say the truck was a late 80's Ford pick-up; it is unknown at thiss time how the fire started.
