YUMA, Ariz.(AP) - Federal authorities say they've seized more than 400 pounds of marijuana in southwestern Arizona.
Border Patrol agents from the Wellton Station discovered eight bundles of abandoned marijuana in a remote area of the desert Saturday.
After searching the area and finding no suspects, agents say the marijuana was seized for destruction in keeping with Yuma Sector guidelines.
Authorities say the marijuana had an estimated street value of more than $200,000.
