BULLHEAD CITY, Ariz. (AP) - A Bullhead City father has removed his daughter from the city's high school after she was attacked on school grounds for a second time.
Julian Perez says his 14-year-old daughter suffered a bruised orbital bone, two bumps on her forehead, several gouges in her face, a purple lip and a black eye. Since the attack, she has complained of vision problems.
The Mohave High School principal tells the Mohave Daily News (http://bit.ly/GER4Fm ) they're treating the March 8 incident as an assault and a criminal act.
A Bullhead City police spokeswoman says the girl was assaulted in January at the school by another 14-year-old.
Perez said Wednesday that he's taken his daughter, who needed the attention of paramedics after the beating, out of Mohave and plans to enroll her at another school.
