Detectives seek vehicle of interest in Greyhound bus station hoax

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Detectives are seeking assistance from the public in identifying and locating a vehicle of interest that caused police to shut down the Greyhound bus station downtown for several hours because of a suspicious device on Tuesday.
Sgt. Matt Ronstadt tells KGUN9 a security officer was alerted by a customer about a possible incendiary device inside a trash can at the Greyhound bus station located in the 400 block of West Congress.
Tucson Police Bomb Squad responded to the scene. After isolating the suspicious device, the device was found to be a hoax that was carefully constructed to look like an IED (Improvised Explosive Device). The bomb squad safely detonated the device.
Detectives examined and collected evidence, and interviewed witnesses. They are working to determine the identity of the suspect or suspects involved in the placement of this hoax explosive device.
Detectives are seeking assistance from the public in identifying and locating a vehicle of interest in this investigation. The vehicle was recently captured on surveillance cameras at the Greyhound terminal. The occupants are considered persons of interest in the ongoing investigation.
Police Department urge anyone with information about the vehicle or persons associated with the vehicle to contact 9-1-1 or 88-CRIME.
