Sheriff: 42 arrested for cockfighting in south Phoenix

PHOENIX, Ariz. (ABC15) - Authorities say 42 people have been arrested in the south Phoenix in connection with live cockfighting.
Sheriff Joe Arpaio says 16 chickens were found and all were dead at a home near Lower Buckeye Road and 6th Avenue.
The sheriff's office has been investigating the operation for about four years, he said.
Arpaio also said drugs were found during the investigation.
