National award goes to Sheriff Paul Babeu

FLORENCE, Ariz. (KGUN9-TV) - Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu has received a national award as the top law enforcement official in Pinal County.
Sheriff Babeu was recognized as the 2012 Defender of Freedom by the California Rifle and Pistol Association.
“This award means a lot to me because our second amendment rights are under constant attack, and I’m proud to be recognized for my efforts to defend those rights," Sheriff Babeu said.
CRPA President, Tony Montanerella presented Sheriff Babeu the award during the 137th annual Honoring America's Heroes gala on Feb. 25. in Ontario, Calif.
The award recognizes one person each year for their contributions protecting the rights and safety of citizens.
