'Knit-in' to benefit blood cancers
Web Producer: Rikki Mitchell
TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Get your needles ready.
The first annual Tucson Knit-in fundraiser will be held Feb. 19 at the Foothills Mall.
The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Team in Training will host the event and provide yarn, needles, hooks and instructions.
The group wants community members to knit or crochet squares that will be combined into blankets, and will be donated to the Gospel Rescue Mission Women's Center in Tucson. A donation of $20 will also be asked, and will benefit The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the north side of the mall.
