TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Jesse Kelly formally announced that he is running for the Republican nomination in the special election for Arizona's Congressional District 8 at a news conference Friday morning.
Kelly stated in a news release, "It is time to get this country moving forward in the right direction with lower taxes, a stronger economy, and more jobs."
At a news conference on Friday morning Kelly said "I support anyone who pushes to lower payroll tax. I support lowering income taxes, the corporate tax rate and capital gains taxes. There's not a single tax out there that I don't support lowering" said Kelly. But realistically, how low is he willing to go? "I support a 10 percent flat tax . I support every American paying 10 percent of their wages to the federal government" Kelly added.
Kelly was the 2010 Republican nominee and came within 1.5% of winning.
Jesse Kelly works in the private sector as a project manager for a construction firm. He and his wife live in Pima County, where they are raising their two sons. Please visit www.VoteJesseKelly.com for more information or send an e-mail to john.e@jessekellyforcongress.com.

The general election will be held on June 12, 2012.
