Gov Brewer announces dates of CD8 special elections

PHOENIX (KGUN9-TV) - Arizona Governor Jan Brewer has announced the dates of a special primary and special general elections to fill the vacant office left by Gabrielle Giffords.
The Congressional District 8 special primary election will occur on April 17th 2012. The special general election will occur on June 12th 2012.
Brewer chose the dates in accordance with Arizona law which mandates that the governor create a special election to fill the vacancy.
