Construction crew damages small gas line

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - A construction crew using a backhoe has damaged a small gas line prompting a response by the Golder Ranch Fire Department.
Firefighters were called to the scene in the 3800 block of Rawlins Way at around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.
Chief John Sullivan with the Golder Ranch Fire Department said that his crews are containing the situation and have evacuated some homes near the break as a precaution.
Repair crews with Southwest Gas are headed to the scene to conduct repairs on the 2" gas line.
