TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - Rep. Gabrielle Gifford's husband says he has accompanied her on a visit to a trailhead named in honor of the congresswoman's aide.
Mark Kelly tweeted photos of himself and Giffords at the Davidson Canyon Gabe Zimmerman Memorial trailhead outside Tucson Saturday morning.
Zimmerman was one of six people killed a year ago Sunday when a gunman opened fire at a Giffords meet-and-greet event at a Tucson supermarket. Giffords was shot in the head and 12 others also were wounded.
The Democratic congresswoman has been recovering in Houston, where Kelly lives. She returned to Tucson Friday to participate in events planned to mark Sunday's anniversary.
