TUCSON (KGUN0-TV) - A woman was hit and killed while crossing the street on Tucson's Northwest side about 9:00 p.m. on Monday night. She died at University Medical Center a short time later.
Northwest Fire says it happened at Oracle South of Rudasill.
Capt. Adam Goldberg says the woman is 61 years old. They are not releasing her name until her family is notified. He says she was not in a crosswalk and in an unlit area. We'll have more on this story as it develops.
The young male driver of the Nissan pick-up that struck the pedestrian remains at the scene and is cooperating in the DPS investigation.
