Pilot makes emergency landing near Ryan Airfield

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - The pilot of a small plane was forced to make an emergency landing Monday afternoon and was not injured, according to Pima County Sheriff's Department spokeswoman Deputy Dawn Barkman.
Authorities were alerted and looking for the small plane west of Tucson after a pilot radioed for help and said he ran out of gas.
The pilot said he would try to make it to Ryan Airfield, according to authorities.
Local fire crews found the plane wreckage just before 5 p.m.
The pilot reportedly walked to Ryan Airfield for help and appears not to be injured, according to Barkman.
