Tonight... word is they may be closing in the guy who did it. Saturday afternoon... someone tried to kidnap a young woman out for a jog on old spanish trail. He got away... running into the desert. Tonight... deputies believe they've tracked their man... right into Rita Ranch...

Neighborhoods full of patrol cars are the result of an attack over the weekend. The attack happened near 22nd and Old Spanish Trail. A man found a woman jogging and tried getting her to come with him with a weapon.  She got away.

Deputies have been looking for the man ever since. Wednesday evening Pima Deputies and Tucson Police flooded neighborhoods near Rita Ranch. They set up on roads into neighborhoods watching who went in and out.

After days of searching for the man in this sketch detectives got a break.

Deputy Dawn Barkman, "He was seen by detectives in a vehicle he was known to have driven in the area of Rita Road and Nexus and when detectives saw him. It  was a distance away, he got out of the vehicle and fled. "

Besides patrol units, dogs and helicopters have been crucial to the search. Deputies and officers have also been going house to house to be sure the man is not in a home and a possible threat to anyone inside.
