CHANDLER, Ariz. (AP) - Chandler, Ariz., police said Wednesday a New Mexico couple reported missing this week have been located in a rural area of eastern Arizona.
Detective Seth Tyler tells The Associated Press that 86-year-old Dana Davis was found late Wednesday morning by a state Game and Fish Officer along a forest road.
Davis was taken to a hospital in Globe for treatment.
Searchers also found 82-year-old Elizabeth Davis, but Tyler was unable to say what condition Mrs. Davis was in.
Friends and family notified police when the couple didn't return home as planned.
They said the couple wanted to stop in Socorro, N.M., to visit a national wildlife refuge and planned on driving Arizona Highway 60 through Globe into Eagar, then into New Mexico.
