TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Tucson Police identified the pedestrian involved in an accident that took her life Tuesday.
The accident happened just around 8:15 a.m. when authorities say a pedestrian, 36-year-old Tina M. Rieger of Tucson, was in the crosswalk and was hit crossing Broadway Boulevard near Rosemont Boulevard.
Authorities say the driver, 60-year-old Frances Laurelez, was turning left onto eastbound Broadway when she struck Rieger with her Chevy pickup truck.
Either Laurelez or her 3-year-old passenger was hurt in the accident, according to police.
Laurelez was cited for one count of causing death by a moving violation, which is a misdemeanor.
