TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - There is as yet no new information in the whereabouts of a 21-year-old Tucson man who went missing on the evening of November 16, 2011.
Jordan Peterson was last seen more than a week ago and still no signs of where he is. Saturday, the Peterson's family and friends gathered in Marana to begin their own search for Peterson. They are looking in the vicinity of Gladden Farms Community near Sandario and Grier Roads, which is the area where Peterson's pickup was found after his disappearance.
Peterson’s family and friends distributed fliers to businesses along Fourth Avenue Saturday night.
Family friend Stephanie Ortiz says, "he doesn't seem like the type of guy that would just abandon his car with the keys in the ignition. Unfortunately, I only know half of what the police knows, but I’m hoping he's hiding somewhere. I’m hoping he just got himself into some trouble and he's laying low, that's the best we can hope for right now.”
Peterson is described as a white male, 6'1" tall, 130 pounds, with reddish-brown hair, blue eyes and freckles. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and dark jeans.
The Tucson Police Department urges anyone with information about Peterson's location to call 911 or 88-CRIME.
