Sierra Vista Department of Public Works holding turkey drive

SIERRA VISTA, Ariz. (KGUN9-TV) - The City of Sierra Vista Department of Public Works is sponsoring a community-wide turkey drive to assist Sierra Vista food banks in supplying holiday meals to local families.
Anyone interested in making a turkey donation can drop off frozen turkeys at the Pete Castro Center, located at 401 Giulio Cesare Avenue on Friday, November 18 from Noon to 6:00 p.m. Donations can also be made on Saturday and Sunday, November 19 and 20, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The goal is to meet the needs of our community by collecting 1,200 turkeys to benefit the following local food banks and charities:
- Forgach House
- Good Neighbor Alliance
- Fort Huachuca Food Bank
- Salvation Army
- St. Vincent De Paul
