TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Tucson Police Detectives have arrested two Tucson men they say robbed the Ace Auto Cash business and shot an employee.
Investigators say that 28 year-old David McKenzie entered the business and began talking with the victim. Minutes later, 25 year-old Kyle Dean entered with a handgun and wearing black clothes, gloves, and a mask.
Police say that Dean pointed the handgun at the victim and demanded valuable items in the business. After complying with the demands the victim was shot and Dean fled the business.
McKenzie initially told authorities he was a witness in the robbery and shooting but a person left a tip with 88-CRIME implicating him as one of the suspects. He was later arrested and booked into jail on one count of Armed Robbery and one count of Aggravated Robbery.
Detectives searched and found Kyle Dean at his home. They found several items from the crime inside. Dean was arrested and booked into jail on one count of armed robbery, one count of aggravated robbery, and one count of aggravated assault.
