TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Paul Hyrn, 18, is dead after a vehicle collision late Tuesday evening.
Sgt. Matt Ronstadt with Tucson Police tells KGUN9, the crash occurred at the intersection of North Craycroft Road and East Speedway Boulevard.
Hyrn was driving a 1987 Ford Thunderbird eastbound on Speedway approaching Craycroft when he made a left turn onto northbound Craycroft and failed to yield the right of way to a 1999 Chevrolet Suburban, according to The Press Release.
The Suburban was in the median lane of Speedway with a green light and was unable to avoid the collision, according to Ronstadt.
Hyrn was not wearing his seat belt.
Speed and alcohol do not appear to be part of the accident.
Detectives from the Traffic Investigations Unit are still investigating the collision.
