PHOENIX (AP) - A Glendale police officer killed in the line of duty has been buried with full honors. Thousands of people including police officers from all over the state and the nation paid their final respects Friday to Officer Bradley Jones.

Following church services in Peoria, a white Cadillac hearse with Jones' casket drove slowly eastward down the Loop 101 with four police motorcycle escorts alongside.

On the ramp leading to the freeway, Department of Public Safety Officers stood saluting as the hearse passed by on its way to Phoenix Memorial Park.

Jones was shot and killed early Saturday after he joined a probation officer at a meeting with a 20-year-old man at an apartment complex.

ABC 15.Com reports police are not discussing the specifics of the case, saying only that suspect Ryan Heisler has a criminal record.
