ORO VALLEY, Ariz. (KGUN9-TV) - The Oro Valley Police Department is investigating a shooting.
Lt. John Teachout tells KGUN9 that on Oct.19, a female driver and her two children got into their vehicle after shopping at Walmart located at 7951 North Oracle Road.
The driver proceeded through the parking lot and reported a white male cut them off while driving what appeared to be a black Volkswagen hatchback. Both vehicles exited left out of the parking lot onto westbound Magee Road, says Teachout.
At the intersection of Northern Avenue and Magee Road, the suspect made an offensive gesture to the victims, pulled up next to them, stopped and fired one round through the front car windows as the vehicle drove past.
No one was seriously injured.
No connection has been made between the suspect and victim. It appears to be a random act of violence.
Police are asking for help in locating the suspect. If you have any information related to this shooting, please contact the 911 or 88-CRIME.
