Tucson Meet Yourself Folklife Festival

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Tucson Meet Yourself begins Friday. The event is held each year in Downtown Tucson. Tucson Meet Yourself started in 1974 and is free to the public.
Tucson Meet Yourself was founded by University of Arizona folklorist and anthropologist Dr. James Griffith. Organizers say this year; Tucsonans will experience the largest and most ambitious event yet.

TRAFFIC ALERT: Starting Thursday at 6 p.m. - Monday at 6 a.m., Church Avenue from Alameda Street to Pennington Street will be closed to all vehicular traffic to accommodate booths, stages and heavy pedestrian traffic attending the Tucson Meeting Yourself event.
