TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Pima Animal Care Center officials have seized thirty-seven dogs and seventeen cats from a home on Tucson's southwest side after a court-ordered follow-up visit to the property.
Fifty-four animals were taken from a home in the 6000 block of S. Saddle Ridge Lane, near Bilby Rd. and Camino De La Tierra, according to PACC officials.
Many of the animals were infested with ticks when they were found, according to officials.
The owner was sited in April and found guilty in August of 46 misdemeanor charges, including charges related to animals that had no water, vaccinations, licenses and excessive animal waste on the property.
Pima Animal Care Center officials are assessing the animals.
