TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Detectives with the Pima County Sheriff's Department homicide unit arrested Nick Phillip Rogers in connection with the May 2011 homicide of Todd Mike Whitzel.

Whitzel was reported to the Marana Police Department as missing in May. A tip led authorities to his motorcycle but a search of the area did not produce any information.

Officials recently received information that Whitzel's remains may have been left in the 8,000 block of North Razerback. Detectives did locate the remains but determined they were unidentifiable.

Rogers has been booked into the Pima County Adult Detention Center on one count of murder in the 1st degree.
